Giorgio Chiellini is an Italian football player who currently plays for the Italian National Team and Juventus. He started his football career in the position of left-back, but earned the tackling center-back position. He is the club’s vice-captain and very popular to fans and media. In 2004, he debuted for Italy and worked hard to earn more than 70 caps. He represented his country in the 2004 Olympic as well as 2 World Cups, 2 Confederations Cups and 2 European Championships. Chiellini played for Livorno (2000-2004) and Fiorentina (2004-2005) before he joined Juventus. Under Fabio Capello, he became a regular player and appeared 23 times in his first season with Juventus. In 2013, the Bloomberg ranked him as the 7th best football player in Europe. In the same year, he was the only Italian player to be nominated for the UEFA Team of the Year.
